Find it all in the BYPFL.com website WEDDINGS PRICING and PACKAGES (Click Here) “Our weddings on the water are comparable to none. Where else in the world can a couple exchange vows aboard their very own traveling oasis?” Debra Dawson (Founder) Tikki Beach directly caters to the modern bride, a new age bride who is looking for a fresh idea, something less stuffy than many of the receptions she has attended in the past. She is looking for something lighter and new, and this is exactly what Tikki Beach has to offer. From casual to formal celebrations, our wedding planners take their time with each bride (and groom) to consider all of their special requests, thus creating a one of a kind event that will be remembered for years to come. Our approach to weddings is slightly different than that of our competition. We allow the bride to have some fun and relax throughout the process of arranging one of the most important days of her life. We try to eliminate the long process of planning, keeping meetings simple and straightforward. Planning an event with us is not time-consuming, our event planners are quite intuitive and quickly understand exactly what the bride is visualizing. We take care of all the details, including flowers, photo/video, unique and exotic cakes, arch ways, and all types of entertainment. Our all-inclusive packages are designed to take the ‘work’ out of wedding planning, offering everything a couple could want and more. Ranging from 3-7 Star ratings, our packages can accommodate the most modest or extreme budget. CEREMONIES Ceremonies generally last about 15-20 minutes and mainly take place on the upper deck, under our custom made bamboo arch. The bride usually ascends to the upper deck on starboard side, walks to the center isle, and turns left on a bamboo runway to take about 20 steps to approach her husband to be. (See diagram) Our wedding specialists can recommend a rabbi, pastor, priest, captain, or any other type of officiate to perform the ceremony. EXAMPLE ITINERARY Below is an example of a basic itinerary, to give our brides an idea of what we’ve found to work best in regards a four hour wedding ceremony and reception. We highly recommend a minimum of four to five hours for wedding celebrations that include a ceremony. 6:45pm 7:00pm 7:10pm 7:30pm 8:00pm 8:45pm 10:15pm 10:45pm 11:00pm - Guests board vessel and ascend to upper deck (drinks and hors d oeuvres are served) - Groom arrives on upper deck to prepare for ceremony (bride on lower deck) - Ceremony begins, bride ascends to upper deck - Ceremony complete, pictures begin, guests break to bar, hors d oeuvres are passed - Dinner is served on lower deck, guests may dine together, or take seats on both decks - First dance on upper deck, bars open, guests dance - Champagne toast, speeches, and cake cutting on upper deck - Boat returns to dock, music lowers, bride and groom give thanks to guests - Guests disembark REHEARSALS, PRE-WEDDING EVENTS, BRIDAL/BABY SHOWERS Many of our couples and their guests travel from all over the world to attend a destination wedding in Florida, and this usually involves more than one event. Tikki Beach is very popular for pre-wedding dinners and events, which usually take place on Fridays and Sundays, the day before or after the actual wedding. Treating one’s family and friends to a lovely cruise on the Intercoastal waters of Miami is an excellent alternative to the typical lunch or dinner in a local hotel or restaurant. Bridal and baby showers are usually held during the day, complete with a champagne lunch or brunch menu, and normally lasts two to three hours on the water and sometimes dockside. POPULAR WEDDING THEMES ‘White’ Wedding- All guests are asked to attend dressed in white clothing only. Beautiful! Tropical Luau- This is a big hit for pre-wedding and rehearsal dinners, and occasional receptions. South Beach Glamour- Boat is decorated to resemble the modern look of today’s SoBe stylish hotels (Delano, Shore Club, Satai, etc.) with exaggerated drapery, lighting, art, florals, greenery, etc. Fiesta- Complete with a mariachi serenade, this Latin theme truly represents the Miami culture. BACHELOR / ETTE PARTIES What can we say? This is South Beach and some of our guests like to party to all hours of the night. We’ve hosted both bachelor and bachelorette parties, and have even combined the two on a few occasions. Guests can rent the boat entirely for themselves, or if the group is particularly small (under 50 guests or so), they can attend one of our monthly ticketed dinner/dance cruises which is open to the public. |
