HOST AN EVENT Artisan Ballroom Barr Mansion has been host to a multitude of events including weddings and receptions, commitment services, festivals, corporate retreats, family reunions, concerts and fundraisers. Our seasoned event planners can masterfully stage a variety of settings from intimate garden party to elaborate gala for as many as 800. Our unique setting allows us to accommodate any size group comfortably. Events for small to medium groups up to 75 people can be hosted in the Mansion or in our various garden settings. The ballroom is ideal for groups of 75 to 250, depending on the setup for the music, dance floor, and number of tables. For larger groups we spill outside onto one of our patios or we can erect a 2,400 square foot white canopy with or without arched French-window sides and heaters in the event of rainy or cold weather. Many types of additional canopies can be rented. We have hosted parties of 800 in which tables are scattered all throughout the lawn and garden areas. We almost always have people request to have a portion of their party outside to enjoy the beautiful gardens and the ambience of a moonlit night with table candles flickering and paper lanterns swaying from the trees. Sponsored by HEB and expertly planned and executed by local herbalist/author Lucinda Hutson, the midday party was simply impeccable. Imagine a distinctive indoor-outdoor venue filled with an excellent sampling of the signature dishes from Austin and Texas food purveyors.....Guests could enjoy all of the foods and wines as well as really interact with the talented, hard-working vendors. It was an exemplary showcase for the foods, the wines, the venue, and most of all, the Festival." |
